I decided to get some of those real fancy glass lilly pipes for my aquarium. These are intake and outtakes that attach to the end of the hosing and drop into the tank.
Glass lily pipes are purely for aesthetics. They don’t stand out as much as they’re made of glass.
Most canister filters come with standard black or white plastic attachments for the filters intake and outtake. These are a great alternative. They can cost quite a bit, but they do look really good.
Firstly you have to find out which size you canister pipes are in terms of diameter. These are commonly set at 12/66 or 16/22, which is how they are measured in width when you’re looking at brands such as Fluval, and Eheim.
You can pay a fortune for these pipes. I bought my glass lily pipes from a Chinese retailer on Amazon to get them in budget. Both the intake, and the outtake at roughly £25. Which is a great price.
